FAQs
What is the dress code for your wedding?
Cocktail / semi formal. But what the heck does that mean? It means this is an excuse to wear something nice, but make sure it’s comfortable. Boys, no need for a tie or even a jacket. Girls, don’t wear a dress or heels if you don’t want to!
It will likely be warm, but cool down in the evening so bring a jacket or something light to cover up with if you want.
Are children welcome?
Yes! There will be a few little ones at the wedding.
What’s on the menu?
Dinner will be whole hog BBQ, taco style! That’s right, there will be a whole roasted pig hanging out. Buckle up. But there will be other things to eat too. In addition to the main meal, we’ll have cake! And a full bar…
Here’s the full dinner menu:
Roasted pork (think pulled big)
BBQ Shrimp
Roasted Veggies
Sides: Coleslaw, Cilantro Rice, Pinto Beans, Jalapeños, Tortillas
How will transportation work?
We have Lyft and Uber in Bend, but if you’re staying a decent amount of time we recommend renting a car to have more flexibility. For the wedding itself, we recommend taking a Lyft/Uber. It’s also just a 15 min ride from Downtown. Alternatively. if you’d like to drive, there is a parking lot.
Is there someone I can contact if I have any other questions about the wedding?
Reach out to Laka! 808-640-2357
How will the Saturday river float work?
The inner tube rental and shuttle site is about a 10 minute walk from GoodLife Brewery. If you want to join for the float you can rent inner tubes or bring your own tube, paddle board, kayak etc. Check out Tumalo Creek Kayak & Canoe for info on rentals and shuttle passes. We recommend you bring a bathing suit and a refreshment or two. Also having a dry bag for valuables is important.
